Why Am I Having So Much Trouble With My Micro-theme?

 

The first paper in the CARD class is a micro-theme piece that is a page long.  I had a lot of trouble picking out a topic that is specific enough, but not too specific.  I was brainstorming in class when the teacher was introducing the assignment and mentally trashed every idea that came to mind.  The hardest part was finding something that you could connect to yourself.  

I decided on recycling as a broad concept, and am not yet totally sure if I like the direction and niche of my micro-theme, I am leaning towards thrifting/fast fashion, or somewhere in that direction.  Another roadbump I have discovered is the microsamples.  Im not sure which ones are good examples to follow, and which are bad, which is causing me to have a hard time deciding how to structure my paper.  I am excited for the paper and to see how it turns out.  I think this will be an interesting assignment and I will learn a lot of new things about recycling and fast fashion.
